I was on a tour of holy city of amritsar last month.this city is famous for divine sikhism. a very holy gurdwara namely SREE HARMANDAR SAHIB is here.

JALLIANWALA BAGH where in 1919 on the day of VAISAKHI unarmed indians were killed by british soldiers . almost every tourist visit there to pay respects to those killed by british soldiers

INDIA-PAKISTAN BORDER
and also very good number of gurudwara temples and markets
population includes mix of all religions with a good number of SIKHS

SREE HARMANDAR SAHIB is also known as SREE GOLDEN TEMPLE or SHREE DARBAR SAHIB
city of amritsar is famous for  JUTI / JUTIS a traditional punjabi footware and very nice textile market of ladies PUNJABI SUITS and SARIES , WOOLEN CLOTHES .
FOOD includes very tasty punjabi food rich in aroma and nutritional values i.e CHANA PARATHA / KULCHA / NANS / BATURAS / PANEER DISHES / BASMATI RICE DISHES etc. famous restaurants are BHARAVA DA DHABA...BROTHERS DHABA.. ,KESAR DA DHABA ...SANKH RESTAURANTS etc
